Aims

Participants will develop the necessary skills to implement and maintain an effective safety management system to meet the requirements of OHSAS 18001:2007.

At the end of this course participants will be able to:

• Understand legislative requirements for safety management systems (SMS)
• Design and plan the implementation of a safety management system
• Introduce a safety policy together with an effective training programme
• Devise and introduce complementary documentation systems
• Plan and report safety audits and performance monitoring
  

Profile

Designed for the people who will be responsible for implementing a safety management system, this course opens up the whole process of safety management by audit, documentation and control. It will ensure that delegates understand their responsibility and give them the necessary skills to introduce an effective SMS in their workplace.
