Aims
Participants will develop the necessary skills to implement and maintain an effective environmental management system to meet the requirements of ISO 14001 including:
- Environmental aspects and impacts as the basis of ‘what to manage’
- Identifying and managing legal and other requirements
- Developing the environmental policy, objectives and programmes
- Determining appropriate operational controls
- Developing an effective training programme
- Devising effective documentation for the EMS
Profile
A very popular two day course for those tasked with developing and implementing an EMS, based on case study materials and practical exercises. Participants should already possess basic awareness of ISO 14001:1996 and an understanding of the environment debate.
