• To provide delegates with the skills and understanding needed to audit a company’s Environmental Management System (EMS) developed to the requirements of ISO 14001:2004
  
  
• To give an insight and guidance in the internal assessment of technical environmental performance and monitoring improvement

• Overview of ISO 14001:2004
  • History and development
  • Core elements / Continual improvement loop
• Purpose and requirements of internal auditing of EMS
• EMS standards and certification body requirements for internal auditing
• Environmental effects and training needs of EMS auditors
• EMS internal audit structure – planning and preparation, performance, objective evidence, questioning and communication
• Audit findings, reporting, corrective actions, follow-up and close-out and management review

Participants:

Participant(s) should come from the departments which will be included in the quality / environmental system. These are: Production, Quality Control, Purchasing Materials, Engineering, Sales Marketing and Training, or their equivalent.
