Course Objectives
- To provide delegates with basic understanding of ISO 14001:2004 benefits, implementation and certification requirements
- To provide delegates with the skills and understanding needed to audit a company’s Environmental Management System (EMS) developed to the requirements of ISO 14001:2004
- To give an insight and guidance in the internal assessment of technical environmental performance and monitoring improvement

- Overview of ISO 14001:2004
- History and development
- Core elements / Continual improvement loop
- Purpose and requirements of internal auditing of EMS
- EMS standards and certification body requirements for internal auditing
- Environmental effects and training needs of EMS auditors
- EMS internal audit structure – planning and preparation, performance, objective evidence, questioning and communication
- Audit findings, reporting, corrective actions, follow-up and close-out and management review
Participants:
Participant(s) should come from the departments which will be included in the quality / environmental system. These are: Production, Quality Control, Purchasing Materials, Engineering, Sales Marketing and Training, or their equivalent.
